Gymnasts show thanks to volunteers
Our young gymnasts have shown their appreciation to the volunteers who run the club by making ‘thank you’ cards.
The club ran a competition for its members as part of National Volunteers’ Week which ran from 1st – 7th June.
Twenty six cards were entered into the competition and six winners received gift vouchers. The overall winner was 14-year-old Rebecca Skelton who is a gymnast at the club and also training to be a coach.
The runners-up were Matthew Brisley from the boys’ floor & vault squad; Courtney Torrance and Leaonie Watts from the girls’ floor & vault squad, and Nicole Broughton and Chloe Doble from the Women’s Artistic Squad, with Chloe also training to be a coach.
Gymnasts from the artistic squad then entertained parents and volunteers with a special display they had prepared especially for the presentations:
