Dover Gymnastics Club is taking part in a national scheme designed to give people a free taster session in the sport.

The club has signed up with the Nestle ‘Go Free’ promotion where people can exchange vouchers and wrappers on various products in exchange for a free lesson.

The promotion is currently being advertised on national TV featuring former British olympic gold medallist and decathlon champion Daley Thompson.

Nestle claim this is their biggest ever free giveaway in the UK, featuring on 50 million packs of their products including Shredded Wheat, Cheerios, Shreddies, Buxton Spring Water, Smarties and Milky Bar.

Gymnastics is just one of the sports activities people can try for free, others include swimming, dancing, badminton, tennis, squash and exercise.

People who have enough wrappers and vouchers can phone Dover Gymnastics Club on 01304 226088 to book a free taster session in a Recreational Gymnastics class any time until 31 July 2009.

Jon Green, Vice Chair of Dover Gymnastics Club said: “Gymnastics is a great all-round sport as it boosts participants’ stamina, suppleness and strength and is an excellent way for them to develop co-ordination skills. This means that children who do gym find it helps them in their other sports like netball, athletics and football. It also helps them with their ability to study and learn so it goes along way towards a healthy lifestyle.

“Dover Gym Club is a friendly place where we like to have fun as well as prepare for competitions. Our gymnasts continue to perform very well and have recently won lots of medals at various competitions.” He added.

We look forward to welcoming people at their taster sessions.
