Dover Gymnastics Club is proud to be working with 'Active Dover', an exciting new district-wide partnership to increase participation in sport and active recreation. This complements the national campaign called 'change for life' which is all about supporting people to 'move more, eat well and live longer'.
We were happy to get involved in a 'feel alive' event organised by Active Dover on Saturday 18 July at Pencester Gardens to show off what we do and encourage more people to get involved.
More than 5,000 people came along to enjoy a range of activities, including swimming, sailing, windsurfing, rowing, walking, rock climbing, skating and bmx, gymnastics, dance and fitness, cheerleading, football, and a variety of other attractions.
The day was the last in a series of events organized by Active Dover as part of Feel Alive 2009. This included successful events at Fowlmead Park on 25 May and Victoria Park/Tides Leisure Centre in Deal on 6 June.
