Club gets help from Kent Police property fund
Several members of Dover Gymnastics Club were invited to Folkestone Police Station recently to meet Chief Superintendent Chris Hogben, South Kent Area Commander.
Ch Supt Hogben presented the club with a cheque for £300 from the Kent Police Property Fund, which is made up of the proceeds from the sale of unclaimed lost and stolen property.
Mr Hogben said he was impressed that the club had so many dedicated volunteers as he knows how hard it is for clubs to get help, as he himself has an interest in cricket and is involved in a local club.
Club Chairman Frank Critcher accepted the cheque along with gymnasts Ferne and Nicole.
The money will be put towards the fund raising efforts to pay for the new tumble track and running costs.
