Club members get moving to raise funds

Dover Gym Club members are being encouraged to take part in 'Sponsored Move Week' to help raise much needed funds for the club.

The cost of moving to our new premises on 1 February 2009 and brand new equipment has reached £20,000 which we have managed to meet with £10,000 from Dover District Council, and the rest by our own efforts.

We are hoping to raise another £20,000 to complete the club's transformation, some through grant funding, and some from our members.

We hope many of our gymnasts take part in 'Sponsored Move Week', the aim of which is to attempt 10 new gymnastics moves (see below). There will be three weeks to practice, and then your chance to show-off your NEW MOVES in your own class in the week commencing on Monday 12th October.

With 250 members and £20,000 to raise we are hoping that each member can gain as many sponsors as possible. The member that raises the most sponsorship money will receive a months worth of FREE classes and a free new leotard!
