Sponsored Move raises £1500 for club
Our gymnasts have raised £1,500 in a 'Sponsored Move' which started in October 2009.
The aim of the Sponsored Move was to attempt 10 new gymnastics moves from a list of moves, and then to get sponsorship.
The gymnast who managed to collect the most sponsorship was Camille Lasbaraeilles (pictured below). Well done to Camille and all of our gymnasts who took part and raised a fantastic amount of money which is being used to pay for the inflatable tumble track.
Fundraising has never been more important. The cost of moving to our Poulton Close premises and brand new equipment has topped £20,000 which we have managed to meet with £10,000 from Dover District Council, and the rest by our own efforts.
We are hoping to raise another £20,000 to complete the club's transformation, some through grant funding, and some from our members.
