Fundraising, Support and Sponsorship
Dover Gymnastics Club is a registered charity (number: 1098350) and relies solely on the revenue it raises through its classes and fundraising activities.
Committee members are volunteers, they do not get paid, but give up their own time to ensure local children have a great gymnastics club.
We work hard to keep class costs among the lowest in Kent to make it accessible for as many people as possible.
Therefore, fund-raising is a very important part of the life of the club so we have money to buy new equipment, and to pay the on-going bills like heating, lighting and insurance. We welcome ideas and suggestions from parents and supporters who wish to organise fund-raising events.
During 2009 we raised hundreds of pounds in a variety of ways:
Easyfundraising
Easysearch
Quiz Night
Sponsored Moves
Calendar
Ruth's sky dive
Kent Police Property Fund
Boxing Day Dip
Dover Bars & Beam competition with raffle
Kent Teams F&V Championships
Dover Club Championships
We are grateful to the local businesses, individuals and organisations who have generously donated their time and money to help the club.
We have also been successful in applying for grants from Kent County Council, Dover District Council, Kent Playing Field Association and other organisations.
The following local firms have been especially kind:

If you are a local organisation that can help financially through donation or sponsorship, please contact Vice Chairman Jon Green on 01303 289291, or email him via the contact page.
We can arrange for your banner to be displayed in the gymnasium and waiting areas that will be seen regularly by a potential of 900 people (gymnasts, parents, visitors, etc) and free advertising on our website and in our newsletters.
